Oh my!

It’s past 10 PM and 1) I’m still awake and 2) my sweet little munch (kin) is not attached to me! I know I’ve been bad about blogging, but I’m one of those “one last thing” type people and blogging seems to fall to the bottom of the “one last thing” list (although I do read other blogs, I just can’t find the time to type). When the little one starts begging for food I get frantic and try to do a few more things (like load the dishwasher, the washing machine, the sterilizer thing etc.) before I nurse her so that they can “run” while I just sit there.  Then while I’m sitting there nursing, I survery every inch of house in sight (which until 9PM tonight included our main christmas tree…one down, four to go) and create an even longer list of things that *must* be done and places I *must* go. I rationalize that I’ll get to blog after x number of these things are accomplished…clearly this isn’t getting done.

Anyhow, this weekend we went to a good friend’s wedding (which went PERFECT!), and we left the Jewels with The Bat and his parents, for like 6 hours! When we picked her up…she smiled at me!!! She’s VERY attached to me and sometimes she cries for me…not to eat, she just wants her mommy. Which is great for me, but may* be creating some hard feelings with her daddy. Boy, does he love her lots…but he does not love not being able to console her always. To combat this, we’re trying to have him hold her and do as much as he can with her (bath time, tummy time, play time, changing her etc.) It’s been a little rough for us all, but I’m sure we’ll get it.

*I’ll be updating the blog (hopefully soon) with pictures of our Christmas vacation, I’ll be password protecting them, so please leave a comment if you’d like to have the password, I’ll be giving it out to those people that I know IRL and fellow IF bloggers. Just let me know your e-mail or I can post a comment to your blog (if you promise not to publish)!

Hey there! It was great seeing you this weekend. Julia is just to cute for words, and I was so happy to have met her! I love her “shoe socks” or little tiny tights she was wearing; so, so cute! I hope to see you both again soon 🙂
